Terms of Service

Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and you’re responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single person; don’t create multiple accounts to evade limits, bans, or payment.

Acceptable use

• No illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, or misleading content.
• No abuse of the service: automated scraping, bypassing limits, or disrupting other users.
• Don’t misrepresent sources or fabricate citations; sourcing integrity is the point here.
• Respect others’ intellectual property and only post content you have the right to use.

Your content

You keep ownership of the timelines, events, and sources you create. By publishing content publicly, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it as part of operating the service. You are responsible for your content’s accuracy and for having the rights to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

Copyright (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights and expect the same from everyone using SourcedStory. If you believe content hosted on the service infringes your copyright, see our DMCA Policy for how to submit a notice. We remove infringing content when properly notified and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Free & paid plans

SourcedStory offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan at $8/mo, billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. We don’t ask again each cycle. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal (Settings → Manage subscription); your Pro access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again after that. Plan limits and pricing are shown on the Pricing page and may change with notice to active subscribers before it affects them.

Refunds & cancellation

Not happy with Pro? Email support@sourcedstory.comwithin 14 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full, no questions asked. Outside that window, payments are non-refundable for the current billing period, but cancelling always stops future charges and you keep access through the period you’ve already paid for. If you’re in the EU or UK, this 14-day guarantee satisfies your statutory right of withdrawal for digital services.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security or legal risk.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” While sourcing is central to SourcedStory, we don’t guarantee the accuracy or completeness of user-created content, and it shouldn’t be relied on as professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SourcedStory is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you’re on the free plan.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the service.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
