How deep does Los Santos go? From the ghost every player can visit to the confession at the bottom.
The iceberg treatment, held to this site's standard: every entry below is either a real in-game phenomenon you can verify yourself or a documented fact about the game's development, with sources attached. Where the community's favorite theories outran the evidence, we say so.

3 entriesThe Mount Chiliad mural
A cracked egg, a UFO, and a jetpack scratched on a cable car station wall
Inside the cable car station on Mount Chiliad's summit, a crude mural shows a mountain crossed with lines and X marks, topped by symbols usually read as a UFO, a cracked egg, and a figure wearing a jetpack. Rockstar never explained it, and the mural became the seed of the longest-running mystery hunt in the game's history, with players mapping every line of it onto the mountain looking for a hidden trigger.
Reputable source · 2 sourcesThe ghost of Mount Gordo
She appears on the rocks between 23:00 and midnight
Climb Mount Gordo between 23:00 and 0:00 in-game and a ghostly woman hovers over the rocks, vanishing if you get close; through a sniper scope you can see her clearly, and the word JOCK is written on the rock beneath her. In-game lore ties the apparition to Jolene Cranley-Evans, whose husband Jock Cranley left for Vinewood and later runs for state office. The game never rules on whether he pushed her.
